HOW TO GET THERE
From Rome take the A1 autostrada north and exit at Chiusi-Chianciano and follow signs for Chianciano Terme. When in Chianciano Terme, follow direction Pienza till the centre of the village (Piazza Italia), than turn left and continue towards Pienza – La Foce (Ristorante La Foce). Continue straight ahead driving along a descent road and than for after 3 kms and turn right following the sign for Pienza Continue in the same direction till you see a big tree on the left side of the road and the sign Agriturismo Le Checche. Turn right and continue straight ahead for about 1.5 km and you will see Villa Casanova on the left side.
From Bologna or points north, take the A1 Autostrada south, exit at Chiusi-Chianciano and continue as above.
From Siena follow signs for Bonconvento and then for San Quirico d’Orcia. After this town you will come to Pienza. Follow signs for Amiata/Gallina and continue as above.
From downtown Florence follow signs to the A1 autostrada. Right after you leave the city you will drive over an old wooden bridge and you’ll see the entrance to the autostrada on your left. Take the autostrada towards Roma, exit at Chiusi-Chianciano and continue as above.
From Pisa or points west of Florence take the FI-PI-LI superstrada towards Florence, exit onto the A1 autostrada towards Rome, exit at Chiusi-Chianciano and continue as above.
